Refurbishment – North lakes

Type Refurbishment

This project was on a listed building situated in a very tight small Lakeland village which involved comprehensive internal modernisation and remodelling.

Internal features included a handmade (by Carrock joiners) symmetrical Oak Screen. We utilised the listed features of the front façade by installing a new oak framed sliding sash window made by our joiners to open up the internal space to the natural light.

We extended the rear of the building into a significant sun room extension which by its orientation took full advantage of the views from the house down the garden and into St Johns in the Vale.

Traditional materials of oak, slate and stone were used along with more modern external render finishes where appropriate.
